Beyma CD-2514Nd-PT Compression Driver
The Beyma CD-2514Nd-PT is a next-generation compression driver built for precision and performance in professional audio systems. Featuring a 1.4-inch throat diameter and a large 2.5-inch copper-clad aluminum voice coil, it is engineered for high output and low distortion. The driver incorporates Beymas proprietary Deplocex® patent-pending technology, which significantly enhances thermal dissipation, ensuring consistent performance during prolonged high-power operation. Its acoustic design includes an exclusive advanced polyester dome and surround, optimized using finite element modeling (FEM) for a smooth and extended frequency response from 0.6 to 20 kHz. A copper shorting cap helps reduce harmonic distortion, while the FEM-optimized neodymium magnetic structure ensures high efficiency and linear response. The driver delivers a remarkable 109 dB sensitivity (1W/1m) and supports up to 200 W of program power when used above 1.2 kHz with an appropriate crossover filter (minimum 12 dB/oct). Physically, the CD-2514Nd-PT has a compact profile with a 109 mm overall diameter and 54.7 mm depth, and it mounts using four M6 threaded holes spaced 90º apart on a 101.6 mm diameter circle. Weighing just 1.8 kg, this robust yet lightweight driver is suitable for high-end PA systems, line arrays, and custom loudspeaker designs where performance and reliability are paramount.
