The Sony VG-C5 vertical battery grip for Alpha 9 cameras is designed to provide the same secure grip and access to controls as the horizontal camera grip, ensuring exceptional comfort and functionality for extended sessions. The grip and shutter button feature the same ergonomic design as the camera body. Access to the controls is also similar, with an independent custom front button (C5), a front dial, and two rear L and R dials with a lock function on the R dial. Operation is similar when shooting in landscape and portrait orientation. The VG-C5 vertical use handle can accommodate two NP-FZ100 batteries and supports parallel power supply due to its optimized circuits for more extensive use than the VG-C4EM handle alone. The remaining time of both batteries is displayed simultaneously on the cameras display so you can continue shooting safely. The VG-C5 handle for upright use, featuring the same dust- and moisture-resistant design with which the camera was designed, is part of a reliable system that remains operational even under demanding conditions. It also incorporates special magnesium alloy construction to give you exceptional durability. The VG-C5 upright-use grip offers an easy-access slide-out battery compartment, a tripod mounting hole, camera strap attachment points, AF ON / AEL / C1 / C2 / C5 buttons, as well as multi-selector and R back dial lock, and supports power and charging via the cameras USB Type-C connector.
