The woofer also has a 2-inch high temperature voice coil with black anodized aluminium coil former, which gives it high power handling and reduced power compression. The large magnet system provides good sensitivity and transient response, and the bumped backplate in the magnet system allows maximum utilization of the long voice coil without mechanical limitation. The extremely stiff and stable injection moulded metal basket keeps the critical components in perfect alignment, and the large windows in the basket both above and below the spider reduce sound reflexion, air flow noise and cavity resonance to a minimum.
The SEAS CA26RFX - H1305-08 has a frequency range of 30-1000 Hz, a sensitivity of 90.5 dB, and an impedance of 8 ohms. It is rated for a continuous power handling of 100 watts and a programme power handling of 300 watts.
