PRV Audio WG175Ph Professional Compression Driver
The PRV Audio WG175Ph is an 8 ohm professional compression driver developed for high-output sound reinforcement and custom loudspeaker designs. It features a 1 inch exit throat and a 25.4 mm voice coil, allowing efficient coupling to the integrated square waveguide for controlled dispersion and consistent sound coverage.
With a nominal power handling of 75 watts, 150 watts continuous program power, and a peak power capability of 300 watts, the WG175Ph is suitable for demanding mid-high frequency duties. The phenolic diaphragm combined with a Kapton voice coil former and CCAW voice coil wire provides a balance of durability and smooth tonal character, particularly well suited for vocal and midrange clarity.
The driver delivers a sensitivity of 108 dB and is optimized for use with a high-pass crossover at 3,000 Hz using a 12 dB per octave slope to achieve full power handling. Its ferrite magnet structure produces a flux density of 1.02 T, contributing to strong motor control and stable performance.
