SB Acoustics SB16FRPC25-7 Full-Range Driver
The SB16FRPC25-7 from SB Acoustics is a 6-inch full-range driver featuring a proprietary natural-fiber cone, developed in-house to balance stiffness and damping for natural, clean midrange reproduction. The addition of a lightweight foam surround and an optimized whizzer cone enables extended high-frequency response, while the centrally placed phase plug ensures controlled radiation and improved dispersion.
The drivers motor system includes an extended copper sleeve on the pole piece and a vented spider for better cooling and lower distortion. With a 7-ohm nominal impedance, 91 dB sensitivity, and a resonant frequency of 44 Hz, the SB16FRPC25-7 supports broad application in both sealed and vented compact enclosures. Rated at 30 watts IEC power handling, it features a 25.4 mm voice coil on a non-conductive former and achieves a linear excursion of 6.1 mm peak-to-peak. Ideal for audiophile-grade full-range systems, line arrays, or wideband midrange applications in multi-way designs.
