The Allen & Heath DX-HUB audio expander 32×32 channels with 4 DX Link ports is a portable device used for distributed expansion of the DX product range over Cat5e cabling. It features five etherCON connectors. One etherCON connector is provided for connection to a gigaACE remote option card, and four etherCON connectors are provided for connection to the DX expansion unit range, each of which carries up to 32×32 channels of uncompressed 96kHz audio. LED indicators provide the connection status of each port. Redundancy is achieved by using two units. The expander hub is freestanding, desktop or rack mountable, and optional mounting accessories are available. When rack-mountable, it uses 1U in height and ½ in width of a standard 19 rack. The optional mounting Allen & Heath DX-HUB is of sturdy construction and allows two units to be installed in a single rack unit. It will also need to allow one half to be suppressed if only one unit is installed.
